There is a lot of white space on the first page, this gives the illusion that there is not as much on the magazine, whereas if you cover up most white space the magazine looks full, and therefore browsers will be more likely to purchase the magazine. There is a leading capital on the first line of the article, this leads on to the rest of the article, this is used to good effect. The picture of Pete Doherty reaches out and grabs your attention, making the Double page spread into a picture led double page spread.
